UNP changes constitution; Ranil to meet with Indian PM Print E-mail

The United National Party (UNP) Working Committee which met this afternoon with UNP leader Ranil Wickremasighe has decided to change the party constitution which will include electing top posts to the party if there is no unanimous choice.

Meanwhile opposition and UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe is schedule to leave for India tonight and is expected to hold talks with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other senior Indian Government officials.

Wickremesinghe is making the visit on an official invitation from the Indian government and is due back later this month, UNP sources said.(DM)
