Colombo enjoys close relationship with India

Colombo has enjoyed close relationship with New Delhi and it has been further strengthened by the frequent exchange of visits by the leaders of the two countries, said Sri Lanka Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama.
 
Sri Lanka Cricket financial position deteriorating: Arjuna

An Internal Audit review of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) for the financial years 2006-2007 has found that SLC’s liquidity position had been deteriorating over the period under review, mainly due to high capital expenditure, borrowing costs and infrastructure development commitments, with losses running into millions of rupees, according to the report tabled in Parliament today by MP and Interim Committee Chairman of SLC Arjuna Ranatunga.
 
40,000 houses to be constructed by RADA

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka – Sri Lankan naval forces backed by helicopter gunships attacked a group of rebel boats early Tuesday, sinking two and killing six Tamil Tiger sailors, the military said.
